Using a dry-erase marker, model tracing each step to form the number and the number word with lowercase letters. Encourage your child to use proper number formation and trace the rows of the number and the number word with lowercase letters. When they are ready, they can try writing them on their own on the bottom lines, using the small dots as reminders of where to start their marker.
